About me
Hi, I’m Krystal. I was born and raised in Texas and have always had a deep passion for animals. After getting married, I moved to a 30-acre farm where I cared for horses, ducks, chickens, roosters, goats, four Great Pyrenees, and three rabbits. Life on the farm only deepened my love for animals and taught me so much about the responsibility and joy they bring.
In 2023, I moved to Steamboat and quickly found a community through Steamboat Christian Center, where I started volunteering in the kid’s ministry. It was through some amazing people at church that I first learned about dog sitting.
In October of 2024, I was going through a really difficult time with my mental health and was struggling with major depression. I wasn’t in a place to have a dog of my own, but I missed the connection and comfort animals bring. Dog sitting started as a small way to cope—but it quickly became something more. Spending time with dogs gave me purpose, lifted my spirits, and helped me start healing.
What began with just a few drop-ins and overnights turned into something I truly loved. I stayed consistent, continued to put myself out there, and began to see the real need for trustworthy dog sitters in the Yampa Valley. That’s when I decided to turn my passion into a business.
My dream is to one day have land again—this time, to create a warm, loving space where I can board dogs and give them all the love, attention, and cuddles they deserve. Every dog I care for becomes part of my extended family, and I’m so grateful for the chance to do what I love every day.
